Jon Batiste Opens His Stunning Jazz Club in Nassau

On January 17, 2025, Grammy and Oscar-winning musician Jon Batiste unveiled his inaugural jazz club at the Baha Mar Resort in Nassau, Bahamas, simply called "Jon Batiste's Jazz Club."  This 12,900-square-foot venue, seating 278 guests, is a sophisticated homage to Bahamian nightlife, drawing inspiration from historic clubs like The Cat and Fiddle and The Silver Slipper.  The club’s design features rich stone, decorative metalwork, and flowing drapery, harmonizing with the resort’s extensive art collection.

The grand opening featured a special performance by Joanna “JoJo” Levesque, who impressed the audience with her renditions of classic jazz pieces alongside Batiste on piano.  Notable attendees included comedian Jon Stewart and football legend Emmitt Smith.  The club’s programming pays tribute to The Bahamas’ historic legacy as a musical and cultural crossroads, featuring a lineup of Batiste’s favorite local and international artists.

The club is its culinary offerings, which marry the flavors of the Caribbean and New Orleans. Highlights include caviar flights, wagyu beef, bluefin toro, and big-eye tuna tacos, alongside Bahamian-inspired bites like brown butter lobster rolls. Vegan options and indulgent desserts, such as a beignet flight and cherry pie, pay homage to Batiste’s New Orleans roots.
